Your new role Ramboll’s Environment & Health team is growing — and we’re looking for acoustical consultants who are eager to learn, get hands‑on field experience, and grow a career in environmental noise assessment. This role offers structured mentorship, technical training, and opportunities to work on real‑world projects across technology, manufacturing, energy, water, and infrastructure sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities

Support noise source characterization and estimate sound levels for industrial and transportation sources, including developing environmental noise propagation models using industry software.

Conduct and analyze environmental sound measurements using sound level meters and monitors. Travel to project sites to complete ambient surveys and equipment measurements.

Assist in evaluating and quantifying the effectiveness of noise mitigation strategies.

Review and apply local, state, and federal environmental noise regulations and guidance.

Prepare clear technical reports and communicate results to project managers, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications About you

B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, Environmental Science, or related STEM field.

2+ years of relevant experience in industrial noise control, building acoustics, or environmental programs (NEPA, CEQA).

Strong written and oral communication skills, curiosity, and a desire to learn.

Good analytical and organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $72,684 - $90,854. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
