
Product Strategy Manager, Automotive Connectors

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is seeking a Product Strategy Manager, Automotive Connectors. The expected annual salary range for this role is $130,000 - $190,000. Salary is a general guideline; it depends on your skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Position Overview The Product Strategy Manager will report directly to the Global Product Line Director (Power Connections) and is responsible for business planning, global product strategy, long‑term product growth initiatives, roadmaps, technical sales & marketing activities, and identifying opportunities with current and new customers. This role plays a key part in growing the connection systems product line.
The HYBRID position (on‑site 3 days a week) can be based out of any of the following locations: Tualaton, OR; Southfield, MI; Marshall, MI; Galesburg, MI; or Carol Stream, IL.
In This Function You Will
Lead the growth strategy and communicate product priorities, opportunities, risks, and competitors.
Partner with sales organizations to develop and execute customer engagement strategies.
Collect and communicate Voice of Customer inputs to generate new product innovations.
Lead product management functions including market analysis, product requirements, segmentation, and competitive analysis.
Direct strategy development to increase market share in existing and new sales territories.
Provide functional leadership to MarCom and build organizational capability in the global product group.
Leverage regional business teams to ensure strategies are driven across multiple regions.
Manage products from inception to phase‑out, including launch and support.
Lead the product line’s annual strategic planning process.
Be accountable for growth and standard profit in the product group.
Focus on North American activity.
Required (Basic) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the Automotive or Electrical sector within system design, testing, manufacturing, product management, product planning, or sales roles.
Previous 2 years of experience in the Automotive Connector sector.
Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Current residence within 50 miles of one of the listed locations.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
Previous 5 years of experience in the Automotive Connector sector.
Minimum 2 years of experience with automotive wire harness design.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Advanced Planning Systems.
Strong partnership and stakeholder influence skills.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results.
High motivation, sense of urgency, and energetic approach.
Skills

Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and components.
Knowledge of regional OEMs and their products.
