Job Overview Established and productive individual contributor, who works under general supervision. Helps to implement projects, programs, and processes in support of the organization's overall Guest Service & Hospitality strategy. Applies practical knowledge of the hospitality field to administer best of class policies, procedures, and plans for the area. Responsible for tracking guest services issues, coordinating events, and ensuring high quality experiences/hospitality for all guests.
Essential Functions
Provides direct support for guest service operations, ensuring smooth event execution and hospitality experiences.
Identifies and resolves routine guest service concerns using established protocols.
Assists in implementing service improvement initiatives by tracking guest feedback and making recommendations.
Ensures compliance with hospitality policies and procedures while maintaining service quality standards.
Acts as a resource for junior colleagues by providing guidance on standard guest service processes.
Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
Ideates with the rest of the department to plan and execute key events during the Saratoga summer racing meet.
Collaborates cross-department to ensure activations are immersive and tie into NYRA’s overall goals and objectives.
Works with third party vendors in Saratoga to ensure smooth operational efforts.
Present new ideas for events during the non-racing season, including weddings, corporate outings, conferences, and more.
Qualifications Preferred Skills:
Trouble Shooting
Skills Proficiency:
Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint
Knowledge of scripting software is a plus
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required, with a focus on marketing, communications, sport/event management preferred.
3-5 years’ experience in live events required.
Experience producing and activating major live sporting events preferred.
Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment This position will be assisting with event set up in addition to regular office work. It may require sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting.
Pay Range / Salary $72,240.00 - $97,000.00
