Compensation for this position is expected to be $71,385.60 , in alignment with what California Baptist University (CBU) reasonably anticipates paying for this role. Position Summary Information

Summary

The Assistant Director of Student Success Coaching supports student retention and academic progress by leading and training a team of Student Success Coaches and maintaining a small student caseload. Reporting to the Director and Associate Director, this role ensures consistent, high-quality advising, oversees initiatives in curriculum integration, retention, and assessment, and contributes to programs serving special student populations. The position emphasizes student-centered support, collaborative leadership, and data-driven decision-making in a dynamic environment.

Alongside the Director and Associate Director, this position provides instruction to Student Success Coaches on complex business processes, and event preparation and service delivery. Serves in a mentoring role to newer Success Coaches. This position could be responsible for assigning work and/or giving direction to part-time Student workers, in order to complete office work assignments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the University’s policies and applicable laws procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
