Job Description Job Title: Global Social Media Lead (or similar title based on context)

Location: Boston, MA; NYC, NY; Norwood, MA; or Johnston, RI

Hybrid: Full-time office-based with flexibility for two remote working days per week.

Travel: Approximately 10% domestic and international travel required.

Job Summary Lead FM's global social media presence, focusing on B2B market positioning, executive thought leadership, demand generation, and consistent storytelling. This role involves strategic planning, day-to-day execution, AI tool integration, and reputation management.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and evolve global social media strategy aligned with business objectives.

Define content and channel strategies to advance leadership narrative and support initiatives.

Lead global platform expansion and governance.

Establish an experimentation roadmap for new platforms and formats.

Build and manage an executive social media program.

Partner with internal teams to craft compelling narratives and content.

Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on social presence and reputation.

Own the global social content operating model (editorial planning, development, publishing, community engagement, optimization).

Ensure social media supports integrated marketing campaigns.

Improve social media's contribution to B2B pipeline and lead generation.

Establish and maintain enterprise governance frameworks for social media.

Define KPIs and reporting to link social outcomes to business value.

Utilize AI tools for research, content development, and optimization.

Lead and develop a high-performing social media team (internal and/or agency).

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.

Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience, including:

Significant progressive experience leading social media strategy and execution for a major brand.

Demonstrated expertise in B2B social media with a track record of building thought leadership and connecting social to business goals.

Experience building and governing an enterprise social presence across multiple platforms.

Demonstrated experience in both organic and paid social media.

Highly Preferred:

Experience in a complex, global, matrixed enterprise.

Experience with executive communications and reputation-sensitive categories.

Familiarity with workforce enablement/ambassador programs.

Experience launching new platforms or scaling region-specific presences.

Required Skills:

Fluency with modern AI tools for marketing/content.

People management and agency management experience.

Executive presence.

Strong analytical mindset.

LinkedIn expertise (organic and paid).
