
In-Home Sales Manager

We are seeking a strong, people-first sales leader to train, coach, and develop high-performing Design Consultants (our field sales team) within our growing market. This is a newly created role designed to help build out the region as we scale—because our growth is happening fast, and “Express” is more than our name, it’s how we operate.
In this role, you will drive consistent execution and performance through clear communication, hands‑on coaching, and data‑driven improvement plans. You will partner closely with field sales trainers, ensure adoption of our established sales program, and bring fresh ideas that enhance or streamline sales operations. You will also work cross‑functionally with Installation, Order Entry, Purchasing, and Finance to support a smooth customer experience, including helping resolve escalated issues or cancellations when needed. This role will play an important part in launching and scaling Express Flooring’s San Francisco market.
Job Type:
In-Person, Some remote days may be offered after training.
Compensation:
$100,000–$115,000 base salary, plus monthly Sales Manager bonuses, with total on‑target earnings of approximately $160,000–$190,000 annually.
What You’ll Do
Achieve regional sales forecasts, revenue targets, and financial goals
Improve conversion rates, pricing discipline, and overall sales performance
Drive consistent execution of Express Flooring’s in‑home sales process
Conduct weekly field ride‑along sessions to observe, coach, and develop Design Consultants
Lead weekly team meetings focused on skill development and performance improvement
Directly supervise Design Consultants and partner with Field Sales Trainers to maximize results
Track progress, reinforce expectations, and deliver timely coaching and feedback
Analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Build and lead a high‑performing Design Consultant team in the market by partnering with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, and onboard top talent
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a proven track record of results
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and perform in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
Ability to lead hiring, coaching, and performance management for a sales team
Strong understanding of sales execution and process improvement
Clear, confident communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to build strong working relationships across teams and with external partners
Sound business judgment with a high level of integrity and professionalism
Ability to bring fresh ideas, innovate, and drive continuous improvement
Proven ability to influence, develop, and lead teams across multiple markets
Track record of developing high‑performing managers and teams
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and CRM systems
