Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties Performs highly advanced specialist duties for the College of Education (COE) Communications Department at Sam Houston State University by developing high‑quality digital content that promotes the college and its programs. Leads creative production in photography, videography, and graphic design, while working collaboratively with the communications team on social media and website initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only) Serves as the lead for graphic design, photography, and videography, creating high-quality visual content that supports institutional goals. Collaborates closely with faculty and staff to translate ideas into effective multimedia and creative assets while managing and tracking incoming project requests to ensure timely completion. Functions as a resource and expert on brand standards, ensuring all visual materials align with established branding guidelines. Assists with social media content creation, scheduling, and posting, and supports website edits and updates. Manages and maintains accurate logs and inventories of all camera and audio equipment, curates and organizes a library of professional photographic images representing all aspects of College of Education (COE) life, oversees the selection and display of images on UC View screens to ensure engaging, accurate, and visually consistent content. Performs other related duties as assigned.
