Overview Camp Carmel Creek is a program of The San Diego Jewish Academy. We create summer adventures filled with joy, growth, curiosity and intention through a unique model that combines classic day‑camp, a specialty camp focus, and the connection of a sleepaway camp.

Responsibilities

Visit camp during key activities to capture high‑quality photos and videos that showcase camp life, our values, and the essence of each day.

Create and schedule engaging social media content (Instagram, Facebook) in alignment with our camp’s voice and branding.

Write captions and craft digital stories that reflect the joy, community, and adventure of the camp experience.

Work with the leadership team to understand weekly themes and messaging goals.

Monitor social media engagement, respond to messages or comments when appropriate, and foster a sense of community online.

Help build excitement about camp and support enrollment through strategic visual storytelling.

Organize content and assist with post‑season highlights or recap reels.

Responsible for creating the weekly newsletter that communicates what went on that week at camp.

Must be able to attend 30 hours of online and in‑person paid training prior to the start of camp in May and June.

Term of Employment June 15th – August 7th, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Full‑time and part‑time opportunities available. 4 staff training dates prior to June 15th (30 hours of online and in‑person paid training).

Salary $25 per hour.

Employment Requirements

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Applicants must be willing to undergo a Live Scan background check (for age 18+) and TB screening as part of the hiring process.

SDJA is unable to provide immigration sponsorships such as H1B Visas.
