
Marketing Communications Specialist

Position Summary
The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for developing clear marketing messaging, supporting campaign initiatives, and creating content that communicates the value of the company’s brand, products, and solutions. This role reports to the Digital Commerce & Marketing Manager and works closely with the sales team, product management, and designers to translate product capabilities into clear customer benefits and support business growth. A core focus of this role is AI Optimization (AIO) creating and structuring content that performs well in AI-driven search, generative engines, and answer-based discovery. The role also supports SEO best practices, ensuring content is both discoverable and effective across evolving digital channels. This is an execution-focused role with opportunities to grow into greater ownership of AIO and content optimization over time.
Key Responsibilities Messaging & Brand Storytelling
Write and refine marketing messaging that communicates product value and key differentiators
Translate product features into clear, customer-focused benefits
Ensure consistency across marketing materials and campaigns
Adapt messaging to align with both human audiences and AI interpretation
AI-Optimized Content Development
Create marketing content designed for AI-driven discovery, including generative search engines and answer-based platforms
Structure content to align with how users ask questions and how AI systems surface answers
Write clear, concise, and well-structured content that improves visibility in AI-generated responses
Continuously refine content based on performance, emerging AI trends, and internal guidance
Support the development of scalable approaches to AI-friendly content creation
Marketing Content Development (SEO Support)
Create and update website content, including product pages and landing pages
Write blog articles, emails, and campaign content
Apply SEO best practices (keywords, structure, readability) to support content performance
Optimize and refresh content based on direction and performance insights
Campaign Planning & Support
Support execution of marketing campaigns aligned with sales priorities
Contribute to campaign messaging and content creation
Help maintain a campaign calendar across industries and initiatives
Collaborate with digital and creative teams to execute campaigns
Create and update sales materials such as one-pagers, presentations, and product summaries
Develop follow-up content aligned with common customer questions and needs
Support case studies and customer success stories
Gather input from sales to improve messaging and content
Website Messaging & Content Experience
Support updates to website messaging and product content
Ensure value propositions are clear, structured, and easy to understand
Assist with implementing content improvements that enhance both user experience and AI readability
Support basic on-page SEO improvements where needed
Industry Marketing & Content Support
Research customer questions, industry trends, and content opportunities
Support development of industry-specific and use-case-driven content
Contribute ideas for content aligned with how customers search and ask questions
The focus is on strong execution, collaboration, continuous learning, and measurable success.
Success Metrics
Increased visibility of content in AI-generated search results and answer-based platforms
Improved engagement with marketing content
Timely delivery of content and campaign assets
Increased usage of marketing materials by sales
Contribution to improved website content performance
Qualifications
2–5+ years of experience in marketing communications, content marketing
Strong writing and content structuring skills
Interest in AI-driven search, generative content, and evolving discovery trends (AIO)
Basic understanding of SEO and digital content best practices
Ability to translate product features into clear customer benefits
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Strong communicator who can write clearly and concisely
Curious about how AI is changing search and content discovery
Eager to learn and adapt to new tools and content strategies
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Collaborative and open to feedback
