BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Consultant, Medical Communications to support their pharmaceutical client in Indianapolis.
Expected Duration: Long Term
Location: Indianapolis, IN/hybrid
Overview Leads execution of medical communications strategy — managing the end-to-end workflow for creating, reviewing, approving, and storing scientific slide decks and medical content assets across global and affiliate teams.
Strategy & Planning Develops and maintains medical communications/slide plans aligned to indication team strategy; contributes to annual business planning and budget management; provides operational data analysis (headcount, financials, metrics/dashboards) to support Medical Affairs leadership decisions.
Governance & Stakeholder Management Leads Medical Slide Steering Committees; represents the BU in GMAO/LCCI governance meetings; triages affiliate requests and integrates them into global plans; negotiates timelines and content priorities across cross-functional partners (medical leaders, physicians/scientists, med ed, publications, statisticians, health outcomes, MSLs, med info, writers).
Vendor & LCCI Management Builds and manages external service provider relationships and internal client support; provides project oversight on deliverables, timelines, quality, and issue resolution; collaborates on sourcing strategy and vendor selection.
Execution & Delivery Coordinates on‑time, integrated delivery of scientific slides/modules; owns system/tool workflows (SlideSource, MedVA, Veeva Vault, Workfront); manages document initiation, review cycles, quality checks, and final version preparation; supports localization for affiliates.
Process Improvement Maintains implementation guides and standardized templates; drives productivity and streamlined operations in content creation/approval/storage; captures and shares cross‑BU and cross‑functional learnings.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree, 3+ years pharma/project management experience, strong organizational/analytical/communication skills, ability to work independently and cross‑functionally.
Preferred Graduate degree in life sciences, experience in global scientific communications and medical information, scientific/medical/pharma background.
