Portfolio Manager

The role involves owning the performance of the insurance book end‑to‑end, combining technical insurance expertise with a data‑driven mindset to steer the portfolio toward sustainable, profitable growth. It offers meaningful equity and strategic influence, with direct ownership of a critical function in a high‑growth insurance business. The position requires monitoring portfolio performance across product lines—loss ratios, mix, concentration, and profitability—identifying underperforming segments and designing interventions across pricing, underwriting, and distribution, and setting underwriting appetite in partnership with underwriters and actuaries. It also includes building dashboards and reporting to give the business a clear view of portfolio health, leading reinsurance discussions and capital efficiency initiatives, and translating portfolio insights into product, pricing, and wording changes. The role is in‑office six days per week with a base salary of £65,000–£85,000 plus equity.
