Role Overview
The Lux et Spes Society Student Ambassadors are the faces and voices of Stonehill to prospective students and their families. They work directly with the Admission Office in our efforts to recruit students and acquaint them with the unique features of the college. We have more than 9,000 people visit campus each year and our Ambassadors are often the most vital aspect in their determination of whether Stonehill could be the right fit for them.
Responsibilities The primary duties of the Lux et Spes Society Student Ambassadors encompass the traditional Ambassador role, with additional responsibilities.
Providing multiple campus tours each day, greeting, and mingling with prospective students and parents
Allowing prospective students to shadow them in class
Supporting other projects as assigned by Admission Counselors
Being scheduled at various times weekly, and being present at Open Houses and Skyhawk Welcome Days; some weekends and holidays also required
This position is paid and carries with it a great deal of responsibility.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with students and families in a positive manner
A willingness and enthusiasm to share the Stonehill experience
Ability to work well with other students and take direction from Admission staff
Reliability and flexibility
Students will be expected to work between 4-8 hours per week.
Compensation Hourly rate: $15.00
