The Community Associate supports the day-to-day experience of SOMO Cowork by helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for members and guests. This is an entry-level, part-time role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a people-facing environment, takes pride in maintaining a well-kept space, and can handle a variety of small but important tasks throughout the day. This role is highly visible within the space and contributes directly to the overall member experience. Key Responsibilities
Space Care and Daily Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, common areas, and conference rooms Complete opening tasks to prepare the space for the day Perform midday resets of shared spaces before end of shift Wash and manage dishes as needed Tidy and restock supplies such as coffee, snacks, and office supplies Ensure overall space is presentable and welcoming at all times Front Desk and Guest Support Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner Assist with basic guest check-ins and directions to meeting rooms Provide light support for day pass users and visitors Help maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere Mail and Light Administrative Tasks Sort and distribute incoming mail within the office suite Notify members of package deliveries as needed Events and Community Support Assist with setup and cleanup for community events Help maintain shared areas during event days Light Social Media Support Upload and post pre-created content as directed Capture occasional photos or videos of the space or events if comfortable Qualifications
Required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently and staying on task Positive, professional, and service-oriented attitude Preferred but not required Experience in a professional, hospitality, retail, or customer-facing environment Familiarity with coworking spaces or shared environments Basic comfort with social media platforms Who This Role May Be a Good Fit For
