The Role is a Senior Salesforce Developer and Technical Lead. Work Location: Hybrid schedule with 2 days per week onsite at any of the following locations: Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Englewood, CO; Nashville, TN; Chicago, IL; Raleigh, NC; or Charlottesville, VA.
The Team We are responsible for the management and improvements of the Business Applications that drive S&P Global. Our team operates across many internal applications from Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Oracle ERP, Data Warehouse, Internal Fulfillment Systems and Workflow tools. You will have the opportunity every day to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and to develop a close team dynamic with coworkers from around the globe.
Responsibilities And Impact
Design and build advanced customizations using Apex (classes, triggers, batch, queueable, Platform Events), Visualforce (if applicable), and Lightning (Aura/LWC), ensuring scalability and performance. Knowledge of Lightning components, application, events and component-to-component communication is an added advantage.
Drive the design, development, and deployment of complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices in Agile (SCRUM) methodologies and SDLC principles.
Strong knowledge of AngularJS, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML and DHTML within the Salesforce platform.
Extensive experience with debugging methods such as Anonymous Code Block execution and working/writing to System and Developer Logs.
Hands-on experience with deployment tools like Copado, Prodly, and Salesforce CLI.
Adaptable in new environments with a strong sense of responsibility in execution of solutions.
Produce system design documents, lead technical walkthroughs, and present code solutions to the Salesforce Architecture Review Board.
Produce high-quality code, own the code quality, and represent the team’s technical output for workstreams and product owners.
Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners.
Mentor junior developers on best practices and continuously improve the architecture as a team member.
Potential to work in a System Architect Associate role to discuss solutions in governance meetings and stakeholder discussions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors / Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in application development using Salesforce.
Experience with front-end technologies (Lightning Web Components, JavaScript frameworks like Angular/jQuery) to enhance user experience within the platform.
Currently hold one or more of the following: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer 1, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified System Architect.
Experience integrating Salesforce flows and custom APEX with Agentforce to deliver high-impact, scalable agent workflows.
Experience with Salesforce API, SOAP messaging and integration with other enterprise applications, trigger design patterns.
Proficient with SDLC methodologies like Agile and Test-driven development.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Certified Revenue Cloud Consultant & Salesforce Platform Developer 2.
Experience building custom solutions around Salesforce Steelbrick, Revenue Cloud, or Zuora implementations at an enterprise level.
Significant functional understanding of billing functionalities (collections, revenue schedules, cash application, tax, and invoice generation).
Experience with front-end technologies (Lightning Web Components, JavaScript frameworks like Angular/jQuery) to enhance user experience within the platform.
Experience integrating Salesforce using external objects, GraphQL, and navigating Salesforce Managed Packages limitations.
Experience working in a complex, multi-cloud or multi-org Salesforce environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business terms for non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to create technical design documents, architectural enterprise design documents, and data schemas.
Experience working on large-scale CPQ data migrations.
Compensation and Benefits (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $91,805 to $162,163. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. It is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
