Overview

Location: New York, Charlotte, Dallas Senior Consultant – Financial Services - Data & Analytics – Data Products Management EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit (FSO) dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams address the most complex challenges in the industry, delivering insights on ingesting, interpreting, and managing data through Data Products Management (DPM), Data Architecture and Engineering (DAE), Data Governance and Controls (DGC), and Data Analytics and Insights (DAI). Our Data & Analytics team applies cutting-edge technology to bring solutions to clients. You’ll work side-by-side with clients and diverse EY teams to shape data-driven strategies and solve challenging problems while continuously learning and evolving with the industry.

Role Purpose

The opportunity is to shape a client’s strategic data foundation by connecting Business product owners with Technology delivery teams, using data to power applications and experiences for Advisors and Investors. You will be accountable for multiple data domains that power products, including Finance, Risk & Regulatory control, and Customer data. In Wealth and Wealth management, this includes data for Advisor and Investor platforms, performance reporting, supervision, account lifecycle management, billing, compensation, trading, money movement, proposal generation, CRM, BI reporting, and institutional data distribution.

Responsibilities Shape client’s strategic data foundation; connect business product owners with technology delivery teams; power applications and experiences for Advisors and Investors.

Own multiple data domains across products (Finance, Risk & Regulatory, Customer) and support data-driven solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, business rules, and logic for pipelines, APIs, and analytics.

Develop, document, and implement data quality rules; ensure integration into pipelines and tools.

Utilize SQL, DBT, Airflow and data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation) for data profiling, quality checks, and alerting.

Investigate data anomalies, perform impact analysis, and coordinate issue resolution with business and support teams.

Maintain data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, and business glossaries; support governance needs.

Enforce data standards, naming conventions, classifications, and taxonomies across domains and systems.

Participate in end-to-end testing and certification of data products; validate new data sources and transformations.

Build and manage data quality dashboards, exception reports, and metadata repositories.

Support the Data Product Manager to unlock data potential across the platform and deliver innovative solutions for varied use cases.

Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Experience in data warehouse design, data management, data governance, business intelligence, or analytics

Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Power BI and Qlik

Experience using or implementing data governance tools such as Collibra, AWS DataZone, Alation, Atlan, or data.world

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver impactful presentations

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferences Wealth management and wealth advisory services industry experience

Prior experience in a data product management role

Agile and lean delivery methods with tools like Confluence, Jira

Understanding of relational databases and data modeling (star, snowflake)

Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% to client sites

Driver’s license valid in the U.S.
