Electrical and Instrumentation Designer (entry level)
Provide design support for E&I disciplines under supervision of Engineers and Lead Designers. The Designer contributes to construction drawings and related deliverables while learning industry standards, company procedures, and best practices. This role offers a growth path toward increased technical responsibility and design complexity. Responsibilities
Work under the supervision of Engineers and Lead Designers to produce EI&C construction deliverables. Understand schedules and progress tracking. Multitask, working on more than one project at the same time. Self-check work products. Build and maintain professional relationships with design teams and other disciplines. Develop and improve technical knowledge and skills. Travel to client offices and production facilities accompanied by more senior engineers or designers. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. (Post‑secondary training a plus) 1-3 years’ design experience. Proficiency with CAD software. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to accept direction, feedback, and mentorship. Preferred (Not Required)
AutoCAD 2022 or newer experience. Exposure to AutoCAD 3D. Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu. Familiarity with Autodesk Navisworks Freedom. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams. Target Salary Range
$30.00 to $35.00
per hour. Physical Requirements
Constantly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms. Constantly use hands to keyboard or type, handle materials, or manipulate objects. Light work that includes lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and, occasionally, up to 50 pounds. Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks. Specific vision abilities required by this classification include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities required by this classification includes those which permit the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person and by telephone. Requires composure and ability to prioritize and manage several urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with an elevated level of competence and accuracy. Occasionally climbing stairs and ladders to read meters at active oil & gas sites. Environmental factors mostly consist of work being conducted in an indoor office environment, but are not limited to extreme temperatures (e.g., cold, heat), fumes, variable weather conditions, outdoor work, and noise due to some travel & work on worksites.
