Responsibilities
Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner.
Provide skilled intervention to improve patient functional independence.
Communicate with families, physicians, and other health care team members.
Keep timely, thorough documentation of services in the medical record.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited college or university with an Associate’s in Physical Therapy.
Education and/or experience: Two years (preferred) of clinical experience in respective fields of study.
Actively licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Job Type
PRN therapist is part of an on‑call pool and works on a per diem basis (pro re nata – as needed).
Flexible schedule: choose when to work and accept or decline cases based on availability.
Variety of settings: work in ALF and residential home settings to gain experience across different patient populations.
Higher rates: higher wage compensates for lack of benefits such as paid time off and health insurance.
No long‑term contracts; assignments vary from a few to many depending on demand.
Weekend and holiday shifts with premium pay.
Skill maintenance and networking opportunities with colleagues, physicians, and patients.
