Birch Rock Camp for Boys is a traditional summer camp where over 100 boys and 45 counselors from across the globe come together to build a close-knit community. Focused on nurturing self-confidence, responsibility, and skills, the camp emphasizes the joy of outdoor adventures and stewardship of the natural world. Guided by the motto “Help the Other Fellow,” Birch Rock fosters generosity, integrity, and mutual support in all its members. The camp provides an enriching experience that values simplicity, curiosity, and a sense of fun through age-old camping traditions.
Responsibilities The Associate Director of Development
will support key fundraising initiatives to support the mission and growth of Birch Rock Camp. Responsibilities include supporting annual & campaign fundraising initiatives, assist with donor relations, and track fundraising activity and donor activity. The role also entails collaborating with leadership to plan fundraising events and campaigns. This is a partial on-site and hybrid position located in Waterford & Portland, ME.
Qualifications
Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Google Suite.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Team-player with flexibility and positive attitude
Passion for the mission and values of Birch Rock Camp
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
