YouTube Identity and Privacy (IDP) is central to how billions of users connect and manage their presence. As a Senior Interaction Designer, you will define privacy standards and build products that maintain user trust. You will help develop age-appropriate experiences for the next generation, working horizontally across YouTube Kids, Community, and Creator Studio. You will proactively identify privacy risks and evolve a mature, scalable privacy narrative while collaborating with cross-functional teams like Ads, Search, and Play.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Lead the design strategy for youth privacy initiatives across YouTube and develop design patterns to communicate regulatory concepts.
Own the creation of high-fidelity user flows, wireframes, and prototypes across mobile, tablet, and web platforms to deliver seamless experiences.
Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Legal teams to translate sophisticated regulatory requirements into simple, intuitive user interfaces.
Serve as a primary advocate for the user, grounding design decisions in research, data, and core privacy principles throughout the lifecycle.
Articulate and defend design rationale to audiences, influencing project teams and executive leadership to align on product goals.
