Overview
Civil Designer – Land Development — Washington, DC or Tysons Corner, VA
We are currently seeking a Civil Designer to join our growing and dynamic Land Development and Infrastructure team in Washington, DC or Tysons Corner, VA. This unique opportunity will allow you to work on transformational infrastructure and site development projects across the region, including stormwater management, utilities, multimodal transportation, and public realm improvements.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with a team of civil engineers, planners, and designers to develop site civil engineering plans and specifications for a variety of land development and infrastructure projects.
Contribute to the design and development of stormwater management systems, roadway and bicycle infrastructure, utilities, and site layout.
Prepare construction documents, site plans, specifications, and engineering reports.
Assist with navigating local permitting and regulatory approvals.
Support multiple projects in varying phases, from concept through construction.
Mentor and support junior staff with technical development and project coordination.
Skills and Attributes

Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 1–3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
EIT certification preferred or successful completion of the FE Exam.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; MicroStation experience is a plus.
Experience producing site plans, construction documents, and technical reports.
Familiarity with GIS is a plus.
The base salary range for this position is $82,000 – $110,000 for the Washington, DC location.
