DESCRIPTION
The Associate Brand Manager supports Brand Manager I and II team members in managing assigned brands within a Walmart brand portfolio. This role plays a critical part in supporting day‑to‑day brand execution, reporting, and analysis while ensuring operational accuracy and alignment with Walmart processes and expectations.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and collaborative, with strong communication skills and a foundational understanding of retail or eCommerce environments. This role is well‑suited for candidates with prior Walmart experience or high‑caliber, recent graduates demonstrating professionalism, maturity, and a strong aptitude for learning.
RESPONSIBILITIES The Associate Brand Manager will be expected to develop proficiency in the following areas:
Brand & Account Management and Support
Support Brand Managers within your pod in executing brand strategies and day‑to‑day Walmart account operations for their clients
Responsible for owning and managing a small portfolio of 1P and/or 3P clients
Assist with line reviews, item maintenance, price changes, inventory demand and assortment updates
Deliver quarterly and annual business reviews and annual strategic plans
Reporting & Analysis
Provide recurring and ad hoc reporting for sales, digital shelf analysis, promotions, content quality scores and/or listing quality scores
Analyze performance trends and identify opportunities or risks
Assist with competitive analysis, market research, and pricing reviews
Retail Execution & Operations
Partner cross‑functionally with internal teams (operations, analytics, retail media, etc.) to support client needs
Support promotional execution and tracking in alignment with Walmart timelines and requirements
Assist with compliance documentation and internal operational processes
Meeting & Project Support
Prepare agendas, materials, and summaries for internal and client meetings
Support special projects, business reviews, and brand initiatives as assigned
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across brand and account workflows
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications – Education & Experience
1–2 years of experience in a professional, retail, agency, or brand environment (preferred)
Prior experience working with Walmart (Retail Link, Supplier One, or Walmart processes) strongly preferred
Open to high‑potential, recent graduates with strong academic performance and demonstrated maturity
Associate’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Communications, or related field required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required)
Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills; comfort working with data and reports
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Collaborative team player with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
