Sr. Associate, Strategic Growth & Enterprise Partnerships
Q CELLS USA Corp., San Francisco, CA, United States
Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Senior Associate, Strategic Growth & Enterprise Partnerships to join our TPO Business Strategy team to own the end-to-end lifecycle of our highest-value installer partnerships — from strategic onboarding and custom product coordination through market launch and ongoing post-launch engagement. The ideal candidate will combine solar industry knowledge with financial services acumen and the ability to independently produce institutional-quality analysis and deliverables. This role will work across Capital Markets, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Business Development to drive growth through deep, complex enterprise partnerships.
This position will be based out of San Francisco, CA or Santa Clara, CA with an in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote may be considered in exceptional cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the full lifecycle of 1–3 enterprise installer partnerships (e.g., national and regional EPCs with complex, multi-market deployment needs), serving as the primary strategic point of contact from onboarding through steady‑state operations.
Lead custom product coordination for enterprise partners by working with internal Product, Finance, and Capital Markets teams to tailor TPO offerings, pricing structures, and program configurations to partner‑specific requirements.
Drive market launch execution for new partner integrations, managing cross‑functional timelines across Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Operations to ensure on‑time go‑live with minimal friction.
Independently build McKinsey‑caliber deliverables — including strategic briefs, pricing analyses, Excel models, and executive presentations — to support partner negotiations, internal leadership alignment, and capital‑markets discussions.
Design and operate structured voice‑of‑customer program: build feedback loops (partner health checks, quarterly business reviews) while staying embedded in the day‑to‑day to capture real‑time operational and market insights from partners and investors.
Support the Capital Markets interface for enterprise accounts by preparing partner‑specific data packages, collections narratives, and risk analyses for investor conversations led by senior leadership.
Monitor and resolve operational friction points (e.g., NTP delays, payment aging, title review bottlenecks, welcome call processes) by coordinating with Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to protect partner volume and satisfaction.
Synthesize partner and market intelligence into actionable growth strategy recommendations, contributing directly to the enterprise partnership roadmap and new market expansion planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or related field with a minimum of 2+ years of professional work experience in solar/renewable energy finance, management consulting (top tier preferred), investment banking, or strategy/operations role at a TPO or solar finance company.
Demonstrated ability to independently produce institutional‑quality deliverables: financial models (Excel), strategic presentations (PowerPoint), and written analyses at a level suitable for senior leadership and investor audiences.
Strong understanding of residential solar TPO economics, capital markets structures, and/or state incentive programs (SRECs, RECs, ADI).
Exceptional cross‑functional coordination skills — comfortable working across Legal, Compliance, Capital Markets, Operations, and Technology teams simultaneously.
Travel up to 10–20% for key partner meetings and investor engagements.
Excellent written and verbal communication — able to distill complex multi‑party dynamics into clear, actionable narratives for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA preferred
Experience managing enterprise‑level client or partner relationships in the solar or energy finance industry, particularly with large EPCs or national installers.
Familiarity with state‑level renewable energy incentive programs (e.g., NJ ADI, PA SRECs, etc.) and REC monetization strategies.
Exposure to capital markets processes, investor reporting, or structured project finance in a renewable energy context.
Experience with Salesforce, Jira/Confluence, or similar CRM and operational platforms.
Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment where ownership boundaries are fluid, and initiative is valued.
