Technical Instructional Designer (Full-Time in Albuquerque, NM)
Ready to bring your technical and educational expertise to industry? Ideal Vacuum Products is seeking a full-time Technical Instructional Designer to work on-site in Albuquerque, NM in support of the development of company-wide training programs. This role is responsible for designing, creating, and implementing instructional materials across a broad range of topics – from corporate processes to the fundamentals of vacuum technology. The objective is to build automated online training modules for all company departments, including sales, accounting, engineering, technical service, and manufacturing. This role will play a key part in improving onboarding efficiency and evaluating employee progress through structured assessments, quizzes, and feedback systems. Design and develop training programs and curricula for employee onboarding and ongoing job training Create engaging instructional materials, including e-learning modules, assessments, and a variety of supporting content Collaborate with management to identify training needs across company departments Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content based on performance data and feedback Develop systems to track employee progress, knowledge retention, and job performance Provide guidance and support to new employees, including mentoring and identifying areas for improvement What You’ll Bring
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry, engineering, education, or related field Professional Experience:
Work history related to instructional design, training development, or education Software Aptitude:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and ability to learn new tools and software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop) Interpersonal:
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong understanding of learning methodologies and the ability to adapt to different learning styles; ability to engage and support a wide variety of personalities Mindset:
Curious, organized, detail-oriented; comfortable learning by doing and iterating fast Nice to Have:
