Midwest Refrigerated Services is a full-service 3PL company providing refrigerated logistics services for the food industry. Based in Milwaukee, WI, we operate the largest fresh 48 state LTL consolidation pool with more than 100+ trucks, and offer multiple sites with cooler, and air-conditioned storage, distribution and cross-docking services. We operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses for storage needs and offer Value Added Services such as specialty packing, kitting and fulfillment needs. The MRL Carrier Sales Manager (CSM) is responsible primarily for the coverage of all loads within the MRL system through outside 3rd party capacity. CSMs manage their carrier base for information needed by MRL such as PODs, status updates, rates, pickup and delivery assurances, load tracking, and overall carrier development. They develop our core carrier group with capacity providers for our lanes and freight at market-competitive rates, negotiating both daily one-off rates and long-term lane rates and accessorials. The CSM ensures on-time service by managing the carrier base daily. They utilize carrier load boards, system history, online carrier search tools, and phone calls to acquire the best carriers to maintain superior gross margins on freight. The CSM works closely with ISM and Outside Sales teams to communicate capacity market conditions and pricing as it changes, ensuring profitability continues to surpass expectations. General Accountabilities

Ensuring daily orders are covered in time to optimize margin and service Building relationships with MRL carriers to ensure capacity and mutual benefit for partners and MRL’s long-term success Order entry and system operating proficiency Order tracking, status updates, and timely order completion within systems Ensuring carriers provide timely status, completion and tracking information for service quality and billing (BOL, POD) Teamwork with ISMs and other members of the Logistics Team Customer service ownership and accountability internally and externally Solution creation and written and verbal communication Other duties as assigned by management Task Specifics
