Job Summary
The Senior Associate, Capital Markets will be responsible for creating and implementing the reporting and daily oversight of the company’s lender and investor activity, as well as internal reporting for Company. In addition, this role will provide support as needed to the Managing Director, Capital Markets as it relates to the broader oversight and management of the company’s capital structure. This role will report to the Managing Director, Capital Markets and will work closely in a collaborative and integrated manner with the broader finance function and the operating business leaders. This role requires a self‑starter and critical thinker to help advance the organization. Responsibilities
Support the preparation and maintenance of master portfolio data tapes, including financial and operational details, to help with cash management, portfolio returns, and compliance tracking. Use these files to assist internal finance teams with accounting close, cash forecasting, and operational reporting. Work with internal technology teams to help produce KPI reports in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools at both the portfolio and company‑wide levels on a monthly or as‑needed basis. Help develop and maintain tracking and reconciliation procedures, reporting structures, and review functions that fulfill capital provider requirements. Ensure capital provider reports match business‑level reports and are prepared consistently and accurately. Assist with reporting and return calculations for Platform, CSC, and SA investment vehicles. Learn about the company’s borrowing facilities and compliance needs, and help ensure compliance reporting and monitoring are handled efficiently. Provide support to the Managing Director, Capital Markets with capital markets activities, including preparing rating agency reports and assisting with future transactions such as public debt issuances and equity investments. Support third‑party due diligence, maintain relationships with banking partners, and help ensure smooth execution of structured transactions. Perform other duties as assigned related to capital management and financial performance and reporting. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance or a business‑related degree. 3+ years' experience in related fields. Advance level Excel experience, necessary familiarity in working with large data sets and providing succinct, accurate reporting output. SQL experience necessary, with the ability to critically assess data points and develop innovative reporting output, ideally in PowerBI. Adept of working efficiently in a deadline‑oriented environment within a defined reporting framework. Knowledge of commercial real estate financing and securitization transactions and related terminology is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to achieve results in a dynamic setting. Organizational and administrative skills that reflect attention to detail and the ability to prioritize amidst competing demands. Skilled in managing sensitive information while upholding privacy. Handling workload and special projects efficiently. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
