Application & Marketing Engineer
Position Purpose
The primary purpose of the position is to grow sales by providing knowledgeable technical solutions. The position works closely with other members of the team, other departments within Evapco, and manufacturers’ representatives. The role requires strong communication skills, fanatical customer service, presentation skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload.
Key Responsibilities
Provide timely and accurate technical responses to representative sales team
Conduct technical PowerPoint presentations to customers
Be a part of the training classes for our new and existing representatives
Maintain expert level of product and application knowledge
Validate equipment orders and submittal information for technical accuracy
Articulate technology innovations and product offerings to internal and external customers including representatives
Assist in the creation of marketing brochures, engineering bulletins and technical papers
Establish and cultivate relationships with customers and representatives
Serve as product expert being able to solve routine product/systems issues
Evaluate needs of the customer and provide technical solutions that best fit the Company’s product portfolio
Work with software development team to test selection software programs for QA purposes
Contact and meet with customers to discuss all aspects of our product offerings
Meet or exceed company margin goals
Travel to representative offices 5 to 10% of time
Develop competitive analyses for our product offerings
Knowledge and Skills
Strong technical aptitude
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or another technical field
2+ years of experience preferred
Ability to read technical drawings, schedules and specifications
Strong communication skills, problem-solving and follow up
High level of personal accountability
Punctuality
Willingness to learn
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
