The Senior Commercial Credit Analyst is an integral part of the commercial credit team. It provides underwriting support by completing spreads and financial entries for business loans for small to mid-size businesses in the commercial and industrial segment, investor real estate and owner-occupied real estate primarily located in the state of Georgia by preparing accurate and timely financial information. The role also supports Portfolio Management functions including the completion of Annual Loan Review memos and working with Commercial Relationship Managers to ensure that insurance, property taxes and other pertinent documentation are on file.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Complete Annual Loan Reviews for existing borrowers including but not limited to financial analysis using updated financials, collateral analysis, business and personal credit score analysis and updating the risk rating based on the previous factors.* Spread financial statements and tax returns for businesses and individuals with the accurate placement of figures from financial statements and tax returns into spreading software* Prepare cash flow, leverage and debt service charts as needed* Work with the commercial underwriters to measure covenants* Develop, apply, and evaluate regulatory policies and procedures for the department; ensure that staff comply with policies and procedures and understand changes in requirements; maintain a thorough knowledge of policies and procedures and trends in the credit union industry, with particular attention to the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and with robbery procedures.* Perform other duties as may be assigned**EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:*** Bachelor’s degree in business, to include two levels of accounting classes or at least 5+ years of experience with accounting, financial statements or tax returns.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. All employees must be able to communicate face to face or through technology with or without reasonable accommodation. Employee will be in an office environment (well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned) typically stationed at a desk or table. Employee will be asked to sit and stand for various increments of time, and to lift/push up 10 lbs. Clerical office duties on various forms of technology are required.
