As a
Senior Director Strategic Planning
here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in driving Honeywell's strategic initiatives and long‑term growth.
In this role, you will impact comprehensive, encompassing strategic direction, alignment, execution, performance monitoring, risk management, stakeholder engagement, decision support, innovation, communication, budget management, cross‑functional collaboration, long‑term sustainability, performance improvement, employee development, and competitive advantage. You will play a critical role in ensuring that strategic plans are not only formulated but effectively implemented to drive the organization’s success and long‑term growth in all regions and across our businesses.
You will report directly to our SVP & Chief Strategy Officer, and work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive long‑term growth by defining multi‑year strategies that align with enterprise objectives and translate into actionable execution plans.
Lead and manage strategic planning processes by owning end‑to‑end strategy development, alignment, governance, and performance tracking across the organization.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities through data‑driven assessment of markets, customers, technologies, and competitive dynamics.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive strategic initiatives in regions and across businesses by partnering with senior leaders to align priorities and accelerate execution in a matrixed environment.
Monitor and evaluate industry trends and competitive landscape to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and implications for strategic direction.
Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership by delivering clear insights, options, and fact‑based recommendations to support executive decision‑making.
Drive enterprise‑wide thinking and portfolio management by assessing strategic fit, prioritizing investments, and guiding resource allocation across businesses and regions.
Lead vertical strategy and solutions planning execution by defining growth plays, aligning stakeholders, building roadmaps and business cases, and tracking delivery against strategic milestones.
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles.
Proven track record of developing, driving, and executing successful strategic plans.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
WE VALUE
Bachelor's and advanced degree(s) in Business, Finance, or related field.
Strategic planning experience in a global, matrixed organization.
Experience in industrial automation domain(s).
Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives.
Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
