Title : PowerPoint Presentation Designer | Training & Development Location : Dallas, TX (Preferred - Hybrid 1 day per week) | Open to Remote Job Type : Contract (6 Months) Compensation : $25-27/hr Industry : Housing About the Role
We are partnering with a national, multi-site residential property management organization to support a critical training initiative within their Operations Team. This contract role is ideal for a PowerPoint expert with an instructional design mindset who enjoys creating polished, engaging training content that enables learning at scale. As a PowerPoint Presentation Designer (Training & Development), you will support a growing operations training team by designing and refining high-impact, instructor-led training materials. The organization is experiencing significant growth, resulting in a large backlog of training content that needs to be modernized, standardized, and aligned to brand and instructional best practices. This role is primarily focused on improving existing PowerPoint-based training assets used in a formal, in-person Community Manager training program. Once trained, the role operates with a high degree of autonomy and plays a key part in relieving workload from a senior training leader who currently owns all PowerPoint content creation. In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Training team and subject matter experts to develop clear, engaging, and visually compelling PowerPoint presentations used for instructor-led training delivery. Key Responsibilities
Build, edit, and enhance PowerPoint presentations for instructor-led operational training Redesign and standardize approximately eight existing training decks Apply and maintain strict adherence to the organization’s PowerPoint brand and style guidelines Support instructional-led training design, focusing on clarity, flow, and learner engagement Translate complex operational concepts into clear, learner-friendly visuals and content Develop training materials that are easy to update and maintain over time Incorporate employee-based photography and real-world imagery to support storytelling and realism Support content creation using AI-based video tools (e.g., Synthesia), as needed Qualifications
Required
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint expertise (design, layout, animations, templates, consistency) Experience creating or editing content for training or instructional purposes Strong instructional design mindset, particularly for instructor-led training environments Excellent attention to detail, organization, and visual storytelling skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables with minimal oversight Strong collaboration skills and openness to feedback Resume required High School Diploma or GED required Preferred
Background in instructional design, learning & development, or training content creation Experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise or similar platforms) Experience using video or AI-based content tools (e.g., Synthesia) Graphic design experience, especially in building training visuals from limited inputs Experience working with growing or fast-paced operations teams Work samples or portfolio if available Benefits
