
Relationship Manager

Job Purpose
The Relationship Manager is responsible for proactively managing ongoing relationships for a territory of 15 to 30 accounts ranging from $1M to $20M in annual revenue. The primary role is to build trust‑based and value‑added relationships with key clients within the accounts they manage. The RM is measured on revenue retention and growth, with the goal of strengthening and enhancing long‑term client relationships. This particular role is concentrated on supporting the ICE Global Network with a focus on prop trading firms – knowledge and familiarity of that subject and vertical is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Manage all ICE Data Services revenue across all lines of business and become proficient across all products and services.
Take on a leadership role in the coordination of internal resources to ensure successful execution of client initiatives and problem resolution.
Build relationships at all levels, including the c‑suite.
Collaborate on account strategy and run point on large complex renegotiations on existing business.
Work closely with subject‑matter experts and Sales Specialists to advance the strategic vision of the account, and bring in Sales Specialists to new opportunities that the RM may uncover.
Performance is measured by revenue retention and growth and also by qualitative goals such as proactive client engagement and overall client satisfaction.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the financial services industry, with at least three years of account‑relationship experience.
Proactive, detail‑oriented individuals who are comfortable serving as a project coordinator and strong customer advocates are highly desired.
Overall industry knowledge and professional demeanor combined with knowledge of ICE Data Services products and services is a must.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with senior management internally and externally are critical.
Enjoyment of the challenge of working with large, complex, and demanding clients that expect high levels of service, professionalism and expertise.
Willingness to travel.
Base Salary Range for Illinois The expected base salary for this role, if located in Illinois, is between $70,000 and $110,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s rewarding and uncapped sales commission incentives. Regular full‑time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
Base Salary Range for New York The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $75,000 and $125,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s rewarding and uncapped sales commission incentives.
