Position Overview

The Business Consultant is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities through a combination of self-generated prospecting, networking, and partnerships. This role owns the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through close and into implementation, while maintaining a strong pipeline and consistently achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Key Responsibilities

Proactively generate new business opportunities within a designated territory Execute aggressive prospecting strategies to engage business owners and decision-makers Develop and manage a consistent pipeline through self-generated efforts, referrals, and partnerships Own the full sales cycle including discovery, presentation, negotiation, closing, and implementation Analyze client needs and deliver tailored solutions aligned with business objectives Negotiate pricing, scope, and service agreements with prospective clients Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting using CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and executive-level summaries Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas Complete all required reporting including activity tracking, expense reports, and sales documentation Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing initiatives Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of B2B sales experience (4–5+ years preferred) Proven ability to generate new business and exceed sales targets Strong consultative selling and closing skills Experience managing a full sales cycle Ability to build relationships with executives and key stakeholders Strong organizational and multitasking skills Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Highly motivated and results-driven Base Salary: $65,000 to $85,000 (flexible based on experience) On-Target Earnings: $200,000 to $250,000 About 85% of reps achieve quota in year one Weekly gas reimbursement Outside sales role with frequent in-person client meetings Office access available between appointments Must live within 40 minutes of the assigned territory Up to 50% travel required Skills & Attributes for Success
