Altra Federal Credit Union seeks a friendly, detail‑oriented Part‑Time Member Service Representative for its Festival Foods office on Rose Street in La Crosse, WI. The role involves handling daily banking transactions and providing exceptional member service. Key Responsibilities
Greet members warmly and assist with deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and account inquiries. Process transactions accurately in compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements. Promote credit union products and services to meet member needs and support business growth. Promote in‑branch technology and assist members as needed. Maintain member confidentiality and adhere to security procedures. Resolve member questions or concerns promptly, escalating when necessary. Balance cash drawers and prepare daily reports. Support other branch functions as required. Qualifications
High‑school diploma or equivalent and a commitment to ongoing learning. Background in customer service; previous financial experience a plus. Previous cash handling or teller experience preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with members genuinely. Detail‑oriented, professional, and tech‑savvy, ready to help members with digital services. Proficiency with computers and basic software applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Commitment to providing exceptional member service. Availability and Scheduling
Flexible availability for a 20–25 hour workweek within operating hours. Monday–Thursday: 8:45 a.m. – 6:15 p.m. Friday: 8:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m. Two Saturdays per month: 8:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Candidates must accommodate varying schedules to meet business needs. Pay and Benefits
Hourly pay: $20.00 per hour ($17.00 base + $1.00 Festival premium + $2.00 MSR premium). Bilingual members in Spanish or Hmong receive a $1.00 per hour premium after passing the language exam. Employer‑matched 401(k) up to 6% plus an additional 3% employer contribution. Paid sabbaticals (2 weeks every 5 years, 4 weeks at 20 years of service), paid time off, volunteer time off, paid holidays, and paid birthday day. Employee‑only perks and discounts.
