Overview
The Commercial Loan Specialist supports the end-to-end servicing and administration of commercial lending relationships. This role works closely with relationship managers, underwriting teams, and credit partners to ensure accurate loan documentation, timely servicing, and a high-quality client experience throughout the loan lifecycle. Responsibilities
Support commercial lending teams with loan servicing, documentation, and portfolio management activities Prepare, review, and maintain accurate loan documentation, including renewals, modifications, and amendments Coordinate loan closings by validating terms, conditions, and credit approvals Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and loan covenants Perform ongoing loan maintenance activities, including payment processing, rate changes, and collateral updates Respond to internal and external inquiries related to commercial loan accounts Identify and help resolve documentation or servicing issues to mitigate risk Collaborate cross-functionally with credit, legal, operations, and treasury teams Maintain accurate records within loan servicing and core banking systems Support process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in commercial loan servicing, commercial banking, or credit administration Strong understanding of commercial loan structures, documentation, and servicing processes Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to commercial lending High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
