Rooftop Dining Server

The New York Athletic Club has set the standard in hospitality since its founding in 1868. After a multi-million dollar renovation, the NYAC is debuting Manhattan’s newest rooftop experience. The Solarium will provide an upscale casual dining and cocktails experience with sweeping views in an unrivaled setting. This is an opportunity for seasoned fine dining professionals to bring to life one of New York City's most stunning spaces. The Club currently seeks a Server to contribute to our environment of excellence through attentive table service, knowledge of fine dining, and a commitment to the high standards of a luxury setting. The outstanding Server candidate is polished, personable, and outgoing, with a customer-first approach. A successful applicant to this position will bring a passion for elevated service, cuisine, and luxury hospitality to the role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Able to efficiently set formal tables. Present menu, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food, appetizers and wines. Takes orders for food and beverages and serves members in our Rooftop Solarium. Accurate written order-taking. Rapidly relay food and beverage orders to kitchen and bar. Serve members and guests there meals according to Club rules and high standards of etiquette. Ensure a seamless dining experience throughout the meal, from initial seating to prompt removal of china and cutlery. Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed. Correctly charge member or guest accounts for services. Fine dining experience required.
