Graphic Designer

to join our Communications & Strategy team and serve as a key creative resource for the Strategy and Business Development (BD) division. In this role, you will shape how our company presents itself — from digital platforms and proposal graphics to investor materials and brand identity. You'll work at the intersection of design excellence and strategic communication, translating complex technical concepts into compelling visual narratives. Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Brand Management

Update and maintain brand guidelines, templates, and a cohesive visual identity across all internal and external marketing collateral. Streamline and provide final quality check for all collateral distributed internally and externally. Consistently produce new visual assets for social media and internal communications including high-quality photographs and video featuring products and company activities. Provide creative direction to outsourced professional photographers, videographers, and digital animators on the development of new visual assets for marketing campaigns. Edit raw video to create visually beautiful, high-impact short marketing films. Produce a wide range of digital and print products including short films, pitch decks, one-pagers, white papers, brochures, infographics, trade show displays, and social media graphics. Create data visualizations and diagrams that communicate complex technical and strategic information clearly. Organize and maintain an updated library of all assets and collateral for company use. Web Design & Digital Presence

Update, maintain, and continuously improve the company website, ensuring a polished, professional, and on-brand experience for external audiences including government customers, investors, and partners. Design and maintain landing pages, microsites, and digital campaign collateral. Collaborate with software development team to ensure customer-facing software UI is on-brand Ensure all web content meets accessibility (WCAG) and security standards appropriate for a defense-adjacent organization. Strategy & Business Development Support

Partner with the Strategy/BD division to produce high-quality proposal graphics, capability briefs, and presentation decks for government and commercial pursuits (e.g., RFP responses, OTAs, SBIR/STTR submissions). Design visuals that support BD pipeline reporting, competitive analysis, and market positioning materials. Support the creation of executive presentations for leadership, board members, and government stakeholders. Communications Support

Work closely with the VP of Communications and Strategy on internal and external communications materials. Design collateral for press releases, media kits, event materials, and thought leadership content. Support the company's presence at industry conferences and government forums (e.g., AUSA, Sea-Air-Space, defense innovation events). This is a full-time, non-supervisory role reporting to the VP, Communications and Strategy. This role is hybrid in San Antonio, TX with up to 25% travel expectation. Required Qualifications

3–6 years of professional experience in graphic design. Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), Microsoft Publisher, and Figma. Expert proficiency in photo and video editing. Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across digital and print design. Experience designing pitch decks, proposals, or presentation materials in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to take lead creatively, iterate quickly, and take strategic direction. Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in or supporting a commercial organization with strong visual storytelling skills Experience in creative direction. Digital photography and videography skills. Motion graphics and digital animation (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro). Product rendering and animation (Blender, Marmoset). Working knowledge of front-end web development (HTML, CSS, CMS platforms such as WordPress or Webflow). Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field. Direct experience in the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) or robotics industry. Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment, specifically building hardware departments from the ground up.
