THE ROLE As a Mid-Weight Graphic Designer at MAAP, you’ll be a vital part of our Creative team, translating brand strategy into standout visual design across digital, print, and environmental applications. Based in San Francisco, this role sits within our global Creative function and operates on a hybrid model (3–4 days per week in our SF studio, with flexibility to work from home). You’ll contribute to the creative direction of campaigns and brand communications, while delivering high-quality, high-impact assets for a global audience.
You’re an ideas-driven designer who thrives on crafting elevated creative across multiple touchpoints, with a strong focus on detail and design systems. You’ll collaborate daily with the Global Creative Director and fellow designers to uphold and evolve the MAAP aesthetic.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborating with the Global Creative Director and broader creative team to develop and execute on-brand visual assets across all channels, including:
Product and brand campaigns
Retail signage and in-store experiences
Packaging, editorial layouts, and lookbooks
Owning the design and rollout of creative assets, from initial concept through to final delivery.
Contribute to moodboarding, typographic systems, colour palettes, and graphic treatments that elevate the brand’s visual language.
Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Sales to deliver assets aligned with strategic objectives and go-to-market plans.
Prepare and package artwork for production across print and digital formats.
Maintain high standards of design and brand integrity while adapting visuals for multiple markets and platforms.
Stay informed on cycling, fashion, and design trends and incorporate forward-thinking ideas into your work.
THE CANDIDATE
Demonstrated experience to mid-weight level in a brand, agency, or fashion/apparel setting
Proficient in FIGMA, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and with strong layout and typographic skills
Experience working across both digital and print formats
A portfolio that demonstrates creative excellence, conceptual thinking, and consistent execution
Able to work independently while collaborating within a fast-paced team environment
Comfortable managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
A strong eye for photography, colour, and composition
The following skills and experience will be highly regarded:
Experience with motion design, animation, or video (After Effects, Premiere Pro)
Familiarity with project management tools like Basecamp
Experience with lifestyle or performance apparel brands
Passion for cycling or active lifestyle culture
