We are looking for a Key Account Manager to join us as soon as possible and provide long-term support to our sales team.
The Key Account Manager is based at an agency but travels regularly across the country. This role involves managing a portfolio of large accounts (multi-site clients, international accounts …). The main role of the account manager is securing and growing the existing client portfolio while ensuring client profitability for Trescal . The role also includes handling customer issues and collaborating with all Trescal agencies.
The role involves:
On site client visits and close collaboration with internal teams,
Handling challenging situations with strong negotiations or managing client dissatisfaction,
Strong communication and project management skills.
Purpose of the Role
The Key Account Manager implements the commercial strategy defined by the Sales Department and is responsible for the growth of their client portfolio. To do so, they:
Build client loyalty by understanding and meeting their needs,
Ensure client satisfaction by ensuring smooth project delivery and ensuring contract terms are consistently applied
Follow the contract KPIs and manage the QBR and ABR
Identify and develop new business opportunities with their accounts.
The Key account manager ensures that quotations done for their accounts are profitable for Trescal, tailored to customer needs, and compliant with our quality standards. The Key account manager may also manage client dissatisfaction, which may impact loyalty and Trescal’s reputation.
Key Responsibilities
1. The Key account manager contributes to agency revenue growth by:
Developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with strategically important key clients
Being the primary point of contact between the client and the company, ensuring consistent communication and satisfaction
Understanding the client’s business needs, objectives, and challenges to propose tailored solutions and value-added services
Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions to maximize revenue and profitability
Identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities within assigned accounts
Keeping up-to-date with industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging market trends relevant to the client’s sector
Main Missions
1. Client Relationship Management:
Develop and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients to foster loyalty and ensure ongoing satisfaction
Act as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact, understanding their evolving business needs and objectives
Proactively address client concerns or project risk, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high level of trust and partnership
2. Sales and Contract Management:
Build and Present Commercial Offers, in line with client needs. Prepare quotation, ensuring both profitability and attractiveness, while strictly following the current pricing policy and applicable discount rules.
Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions to secure favorable terms that align with company targets and client expectations
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and execution of client-specific projects or requests
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within assigned accounts, leveraging a strong understanding of client requirements to propose relevant value-added solutions
Analyze market trends, and competitive landscape to create and implement tailored account strategies aimed at long-term growth and profitability
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Technical and Functional Skills:
Strong understanding of sales processes and contract negotiation
Good understanding of metrology and Trescal’s service capabilities
Knowledge of sales process
2. Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English is a Must; ability to present confidently to clients and internal stakeholders
Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-centric mindset
3. Organizational and Analytical Skills:
Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
4. IT Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge of Trescal’s systems (CRM, ERP…)
