The Opportunity
It’s an exciting time to join Cala. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Downstream Marketing Manager to join our growing Commercial team and help scale our business.
The Marketing Manager will be vital in driving awareness for Cala TAPS(R) Therapy amongst healthcare providers and patients. This role primarily focuses on marketing communications, content management, and event management, and is ideal for someone who can think strategically, yet execute details flawlessly. The ideal candidate is someone who desires to be part of a high-growth and fast-paced MedTech organization.
The Marketing Manager will report to the VP, Marketing and will not have direct reports.
The compensation range for this role is market driven, with a salary range of $120,000 - $145,000. Additionally, we offer a robust benefits package. This offering is aligned with our overall compensation philosophy.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Cala will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
Location: Onsite Hybrid (On-site 3 days a week in San Mateo, CA)
A Day in the Life
Marketing Communications
Own the development, and execution of our marketing and sales collateral across print and digital, including product kits, brochures, one-pagers, and patient education materials
Translate clinical and product messaging into clear, compelling assets that support strategic sales initiatives
Develop marketing claims matrix in collaboration with Clinical and Med Ed teams
Ensure brand consistency and quality across all materials
Manage inventory, timelines, and deliverables with designers and printers
Manage document control process for updates and revisions
Content Management
Create and manage high-quality campaign and content for use across channels, including website, blog, email, social media, and presentations
Create and own editorial calendar and oversee content workflows from ideation through publication
Partner with SEO agency to optimize content for performance and impact
Maintain brand and messaging consistency across all content
Manage and organize content for department
Digital Marketing
Build, proofread, test, and send emails. Manage accuracy over content, links, images, copy and segments are correct.
Administer Zoom webinar events, including creation and scheduling, pre- and post-webinar communications, updating event web pages, and importing registration, attendance, and lead data
Conferences & Trade Shows
Own the end-to-end management of conferences and trade shows, from big picture planning to on-the-ground execution
Manage vendors, venues, sponsorships, and logistics
Partner with Sales team on regional event strategy and execution
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Sales, Med Ed, Clinical) on messaging, promotions, and lead follow-up
Track performance and report on event impact and outcomes
Skills and Experience
3+ years of healthcare marketing experience; preferably in medical device
Experience supporting product launches and commercial execution in high-growth environments
Strong project management capability
Excellent communication and writing skills. Clinical marketing writing experience, a plus.
Must be proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Business tools.
Experience with an email marketing platform such as HubSpot highly preferred.
Ability to operate independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability
Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, and promotional guidelines within medical devices
Physical Demands / Work Environment
Up to 20% travel may be required for conferences, commercial support, and field partnership
