This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in a dynamic role where your estimates directly contribute to securing high-impact projects. As a Structural Steel Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, determining material requirements, calculating labor costs, and preparing competitive bids for structural steel fabrication work. You will work closely with our engineering, sales, and project management teams to ensure accurate estimates that support both client satisfaction and profitability. Responsibilities: Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine scope of work and material requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel fabrication projects, including material costs, labor, equipment, and overhead. Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to clarify project details and ensure estimate accuracy. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing on materials and services. Prepare professional bid proposals and presentations for clients and contractors. Track estimate accuracy and historical project data to continuously improve estimating processes and profitability. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in structural steel estimating. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications. Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards (AISC certification a plus). Demonstrated ability to perform detailed calculations and material takeoffs accurately.
