I’m currently partnering with a leading organization in the diagnostics space to identify a
Director of Assay Development . This is a key leadership opportunity for someone who wants to shape the future of diagnostic products and drive innovation from concept through commercialization. Why this role stands out: High visibility position with direct impact on product strategy and pipeline Opportunity to lead and build high-performing scientific teams Work at the intersection of cutting-edge science, clinical need, and regulatory excellence What you’ll be responsible for: Leading assay and product development efforts across multiple platforms (serological, molecular, etc.) Setting strategy and aligning development initiatives with broader business goals Driving innovation while ensuring quality, scalability, and regulatory compliance Partnering cross-functionally with R&D, regulatory, quality, manufacturing, and commercial teams Mentoring and developing a team of scientists, fostering a strong culture of performance and growth What they’re looking for: Advanced degree in a life sciences discipline (PhD or MS) ~10+ years in assay or product development within diagnostics or life sciences Strong experience with technologies such as ELISA, PCR, NGS, or similar Proven leadership track record managing teams and complex programs Deep understanding of IVD regulatory and quality requirements
