At Associated Bank the Portfolio Manager - Corporate Banking will support the growth and management of commercial banking relationships by analyzing credit opportunities and maintaining portfolio quality. This role plays a key part in underwriting, client relationship support, and identifying growth opportunities across banking products. You'll gain hands-on experience and build a strong foundation in commercial credit and client management. Key Accountabilities Analyze financial statements to evaluate loan requests and recommend appropriate credit structures
Manage portfolio risk by monitoring client performance and ensuring compliance with credit policies
Partner with Relationship Managers to support client needs and strengthen relationships
Drive portfolio growth through cross-selling banking products and services
Oversee loan renewals, repayment activity, and ongoing credit quality
Support due diligence and prepare credit memos for new and existing relationships
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless client service and solutions
Education & Experience
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
1+ years of experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, or related field
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred: 1+ years of experience with complex credit analysis
1+ years of sales or client relationship experience
Formal credit training
CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation or progress toward certification
