Business Development Specialist

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Business Development Specialist for our client's Orlando, FL office. The Business Development Specialist supports the firm's growth initiatives by assisting with business development planning, proposal development, client research, and opportunity tracking. This role works closely with attorneys, practice groups, and the marketing team to drive new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships in a fast-paced professional services environment. Key responsibilities include: Assist with execution of business development plans for practice groups and partners Support targeting initiatives by tracking key clients, prospects, and industries Coordinate activities aligned with firm growth objectives Maintain and update opportunity tracking within the CRM system Prepare reports and support business development dashboards Assist in preparing pitches, proposals, and RFP responses Conduct research on prospective clients, competitors, and market trends Maintain and update marketing materials, pitch content, and experience databases Coordinate business development events, sponsorships, and conferences Collaborate with marketing teams to leverage campaigns and firmwide initiatives Support CRM adoption and data quality efforts Assist with post-pitch analysis and feedback collection Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field 46 years of experience in business development, marketing, or professional services Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred Strong understanding of marketing tools, including digital platforms and social media Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Physical demands include: Ability to perform standard office functions, including typing and computer use Regularly required to communicate verbally and in writing Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds as needed
