Commercial Lines Account Manager (MA)
Our client is a top-20 U.S. brokerage managing $8B+ in premium and nearly $1B in annual revenue, with 275+ offices / 5,000+ employees nationwide. The firm has grown quickly through acquisitions while retaining a local-first model. In Massachusetts, the company partners with respected community agencies such as American Elm Insurance (led by Erin Gaffney), Moulton Insurance, Stafford & Co., and New England Insurance Group, forming a $150M+ premium operation across 15+ offices. The region is led by Arthur Romanov, who provides hands-on leadership. This model blends the carrier access, tools, and financial stability of a national platform with the collaborative culture and trust of local agencies. Employees benefit from deep Massachusetts market strength (including mutuals like Arbella, Safety, and Norfolk & Dedham), as well as clear career paths that can progress into team lead or management roles as the footprint expands. About the Role
The Commercial Lines Account Manager will be the primary service contact for a portfolio of 400500 small-commercial accounts, managing the relationship from onboarding through renewals, endorsements, certificates, audits, claims, and proactive coverage counsel. You'll partner closely with Producers (growth focus) and a Quoting/Placement Specialist (marketing & remarkets) to deliver speed, accuracy, and retention without being stretched too thin. The cadence is high-volume, fast-turn small commercial (typical premiums $5K$15K) with clear SLAs and disciplined documentation in AMS360. Expect a hybrid schedule (34 days/week in office) to support walk-ins and internal collaboration at Massachusetts locations (e.g., Arlington, Stoneham, Rockland, Gloucester). This is a warm-book, high-impact seat with visible leadership support (Arthur/Erin), strong carrier leverage, and advancement potential as the regional team continues to grow. What You'll Do
Own AZ service for a small-commercial book (renewals, remarkets, audits, claims). Issue certificates/endorsements quickly and accurately; manage client/carrier communications. Advise on coverage, identify gaps, and coordinate solutions with Producers & Quoting Specialists. Maintain precise documentation and tasks in AMS360; meet turnaround SLAs. Support in-office needs, including walk-in traffic and assisting personal-lines teams on commercial questions. What You'll Bring
Active P&C license and 5+ years of commercial account management (agency/brokerage). Proven ability to manage ~400500 small-commercial accounts with strong retention. AMS360 proficiency (required); disciplined documentation and workflow hygiene. Familiarity with the Massachusetts market and strong carrier relationships (regional & mutuals). Client-first communication, multitasking, and problem-solving in a high-volume environment. Work Setup
