Sales And Tourism Coordinator
The Sales and Tourism Coordinator supports the Group Sales team in managing reservations and related operations, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and high-quality experience for all clients planning visits to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Essential Functions
Support the day-to-day operations of the Group Sales team. Manage group ticketing requests, including responding to sales line inquiries and the Group Sales email account. Process reservations using the Museum's ticketing and data management systems. Provide courteous, solutions-oriented service when addressing client inquiries and resolving concerns. Assist with Education Workshop scheduling and related requests. Collaborate with internal departments on cross-functional initiatives and special projects. Participate in job-specific training to maintain knowledge of systems, procedures, and offerings. Other Responsibilities
Represent the Museum at networking events, as needed. Participate in team and departmental meetings. Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service across all visitor interactions. Required Support For Organizational Events
Participate in the Annual 5K Fundraiser and 9/11 Commemoration, as necessary. Assist with other special projects and events in support of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, as necessary. Qualifications/Skills Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in museums, arts and cultural organizations, and/or nonprofit environments preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Gateway) a plus. Demonstrated customer service experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability. Proven ability in conflict resolution, leadership, team building, and staff motivation. Ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences, including internal teams and external stakeholders at all levels. Sound judgment and understanding of responsibility, authority, and accountability. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality, including matters related to 9/11 victims, security, and labor relations.
