Traveling Superintendent

The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations on commercial tenant improvement (TI) and ground-up projects across multiple locations nationwide. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage fast-paced construction environments, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule. The ideal candidate has experience in retail or high-end commercial construction, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to manage projects that demand precision, coordination, and top-tier finishes. Extensive travel is required for this position. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily jobsite operations for commercial TI and ground-up projects across various locations. Supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure high-quality workmanship, especially on detailed or high-end finishes. Review construction drawings, submittals, and schedules to ensure alignment with project scope and specifications. Coordinate with clients, vendors, inspectors, and project teams to keep projects progressing smoothly. Enforce project schedules and monitor jobsite productivity to meet aggressive timelines. Conduct jobsite meetings, maintain daily reports, and ensure accurate project documentation. Implement and enforce safety protocols and jobsite standards. Manage material deliveries, site logistics, and sequencing of work. Oversee inspections, final walkthroughs, and ensure timely punch list completion and project closeout. Utilize construction management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project for reporting and coordination. Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction. Experience with retail, tenant improvement (TI), or high-end commercial projects preferred. Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and finish drawings. Proven experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades. Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar tools. Ability to manage projects in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines. Willingness and ability to travel nationwide as required. Compensation & Benefits
