Job Summary
The Salesforce Technical Architect is responsible for leading the design development and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions.
This role acts as the senior most technical expert on Salesforce projects over seeing developers enforcing coding best practices guiding architectural decisions and ensuring high quality implementations across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and custom Salesforce applications.
Roles and Responsibilities
Drive the architectural strategy and vision for complex enterprise solutions within the Technical Architecture family.
Develop and maintain architectural frameworks and governance to ensure consistency across projects.
Conduct architectural reviews and provide expert guidance to development teams. Facilitate communication between stakeholders including business development and operations teams.
Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies related to architectural decisions.
Lead innovation initiatives by exploring new architectural styles and patterns.
Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving complex architectural issues. Support the professional growth of team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Delivery
Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of Salesforce projects, ensuring solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
Oversee and mentor Salesforce developers and administrators, providing guidance on Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, and CI/CD.
Review solution designs and technical specifications before development begins.
Own the technical backlog and coordinate with project managers and product owners to align technical priorities.
Solution Design & Development
Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, and data models.
Develop high-quality, reusable components using:
Apex classes, triggers, and batch jobs
Lightning Web Components (LWC)
Flows and automation tools
SOQL/SOSL queries
Design secure and scalable sharing models, permission sets, and roles.
Integration Ownership
Architect and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using:
REST and SOAP APIs
Middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Jitterbit, or similar)
Event-driven patterns (Platform Events, Streaming API)
Troubleshoot integration failures and optimize performance.
Governance & Best Practices
Establish, enforce, and evangelize Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and DevOps processes.
Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and technical QA.
Ensure compliance with org limits, governor limits, and Salesforce security guidelines.
Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, Git-based workflows).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to validate feasibility of requirements.
Convert functional requirements into technical tasks for the development team.
Support UAT cycles, resolve defects, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
Documentation & Support
Create and maintain technical documentation, including:
Data flow diagrams
API specifications
Deployment guides
Coding standards
Provide L3 support for complex production issues.

Lightning Web Components (LWC)
SOQL/SOSL
Flows and automation
Strong command of integration technologies, including REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and event-driven architecture.
Strong understanding of:
Salesforce security model
Sharing architecture
Governor limits and performance tuning
CI/CD and DevOps
Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud.
