Our nonprofit client is seeking a highly organized and proactive
Marketing Programs Specialist
to support the execution of marketing, communications, and event-related initiatives. This freelance role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can successfully manage content coordination, campaign support, digital tools, and cross-functional project workflows.
The Marketing Programs Specialist will help drive visibility for organizational programs, support conference and seminar promotions, and maintain the systems and processes that keep marketing projects moving efficiently. This role works closely with leadership and external collaborators, including marketing, design, media, and content partners.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate timelines for public relations, communications, and marketing initiatives tied to key programs, events, conferences, and year-round campaigns. Oversee project workflows using collaboration tools, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders stay aligned. Support the planning and maintenance of a content calendar across multiple communication channels. Assist with social media scheduling and publishing for platforms such as LinkedIn, X, and YouTube to help maintain a consistent and professional brand presence. Build and manage digital forms, applications, and registration experiences using tools such as Gravity Forms, Cvent, or similar platforms. Support digital advertising coordination, including campaign setup assistance for channels like Google and LinkedIn. Contribute to drafting, editing, and proofreading email communications and other marketing collateral. Compile, manage, and summarize post-event survey results to deliver actionable insights. Provide operational and administrative marketing support across special projects and ongoing communications efforts as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred. Experience supporting trade associations, conferences, events, or membership-based organizations is helpful but not required. Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, WordPress, Basecamp, Gravity Forms, and iMIS is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent proofreading ability, and exceptional attention to detail.
Additional Expectations
This position may require occasional weekend work and extended hours during peak periods, particularly around major events and campaign deadlines. Flexibility and responsiveness during busy times are important for success in this role.
