In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase goods from internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers according to the delivery schedule, transportation mode, price, special requirements, and terms and conditions. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities are aligned with company purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by handling urgent situations to ensure timely deliveries. The work model for the role is: Onsite this role is embedded at a supplier site at Gastonia, NC, working directly alongside the supplier to expedite materials and ensure uninterrupted flow of goods to the ABB production site. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division in Charlotte, NC. You will be mainly accountable for: Releasing purchase requisitions and initiating purchase orders in the system, aligning them with customer requirements (based on ERP and standard operation procedures) and as per the release strategy and table of authorities. Monitoring suppliers' order acknowledgments and dispatch advice, along with the inbound freight, customs clearance, and local transportation processes. Tracking the purchase orders backlog and performing regular expending activities with internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers to ensure customer on-time delivery. Minimizing the late backlog by proactively identifying root causes and implementing recovery plans; and tracking goods received at the warehouse to verify appropriate delivery and ensures invoice processing and high customer service level. Qualifications for the Role

You are highly skilled in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), procurement tools, and supply chain management methodologies and the industrial manufacturing market. You have 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or procurement operations (working as a Buyer or Fulfilment Specialist with industrial components or production materials). Highly adept in SAP MM or equivalent ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel, and supply chain tracking tools. You are passionate about problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration and building strong supplier relationships. Proven experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Operations Management. You are at ease communicating in English; bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus.
