SHEET METAL MECHANIC LEADER (EXPERT)

Job Title
The duties of this position include: Manufacturing, assembling, installing, removing, and repairing ventilation, furnishings, and items including nonstructural bulkheads and overheads. Providing technical expertise on work instructions, interpreting instructions, and resolving problems for the sheet metal employees assigned to a project. Conducting shipboard pre-work inspections to determine if the work is in compliance with technical work document requirements and making recommendations to resolve complex problems. Reporting to supervisors on the status and progress of work, nature of work delays, and answering questions on overall work operations and problems. Inspecting completed and in process work for quality of workmanship and adherence to requirements, specifications, standards, plans, and schedules.
