Vehicle Purchasing Specialist
Here at Great Lakes Honda, we are a high-volume Honda dealership generating over 2,000 repair orders (R.O.'s) per month, creating a unique and consistent opportunity to acquire vehicles directly from our customer base. Our goal is to purchase 24% of all service customers' vehicles, and we are looking for a motivated, results-driven professional to help us achieve and exceed that target. As a Vehicle Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for acquiring vehicles from both service drive customers and off-street opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is driven by performance and earning potential. - Engage service drive customers to identify vehicle purchase opportunities - Appraise and evaluate customer vehicles for acquisition - Present purchase offers and negotiate deals professionally and effectively - Source off-street purchase opportunities through outbound prospecting - Work closely with service advisors and sales teams to maximize acquisition opportunities - Track and manage leads, follow-ups, and completed purchases - Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional experience Acquire 24% of monthly service drive customers (~4080 vehicles/month based on volume) Consistently generate additional off-street purchases Previous automotive sales, BDC, or acquisition experience preferred Strong communication and negotiation skills Self-motivated with a high level of accountability Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced dealership environment Valid driver's license Aggressive commission structure High earning potential based on performance Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, etc.) Paid training and ongoing development Opportunity for career advancement within a growing dealership High Volume dealership Supportive team environment with strong internal collaboration Unlimited earning potential for top performers We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
